Lake Zug - Zugersee

Lake Zug
(German: Zugersee) is a lake in Central Switzerland, situated between Lake Lucerne and Lake Zurich.
It stretches for 14 km between Arth and the Cham-Zug bay.
The Lorze as the main feeder river empties its waters into the lake at its northern extremity, but 1 km (0.6 mi) further west issues from the lake to pursue its course towards the Reuss.
Due to this poor feeding, Environmental protection is very important as the lake would suffer long term damage if polluted as the second of the rivers, Rigiaa, feeds only a marginal amount into the lake at its southern end.

Lake Zurich - Zürichsee

Lake Zurich
(Swiss German/Alemannic: Zürisee; German: Zürichsee) is a lake in Switzerland, extending southeast of the city of Zürich.
Depending on the context, Lake Zürich or Zürichsee can be used to describe the lake as a whole, or just that part of the lake downstream of the Seedamm at Rapperswil, whilst the part upstream of Rapperswil may be called the Obersee or Upper Lake.

Sea - Ocean

The sea, the world ocean, or simply the ocean
The sea/ocean is the connected body of salty water that covers 70.8% of the Earth’s surface.
The sea moderates the Earth’s climate and has important roles in the water cycle, carbon cycle, and nitrogen cycle.
Although the sea has been travelled and explored since prehistory, the modern scientific study of the sea—oceanography—dates broadly to the British Challenger expedition of the 1870s.
The sea is conventionally divided into four or five large sections, such as the Pacific, called oceans while smaller sections, such as the Mediterranean, are known as seas.

Lake Constance

Lake Constance – Rundum 2010
(German: Bodensee) is a lake on the Rhine at the northern foot of the Alps, and consists of three bodies of water: the Obersee (“upper lake”), the Untersee (“lower lake”), and a connecting stretch of the Rhine, called the Seerhein.
The lake is situated in Germany, Switzerland and Austria near the Alps.
Specifically, its shorelines lie in the German federal states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, the Austrian federal state of Vorarlberg, and the Swiss cantons of Thurgau, St. Gallen and Schaffhausen. The Rhine flows into it from the south following the Austro-Swiss frontier.
The freshwater lake is 395 m (1,296 ft) above sea level and is Central Europe’s third largest, after Lake Balaton and Lake Geneva.
The lake has four parts:
the main section, called “Obersee” with 476 km² (184 sq mi); the north section, called “Überlinger See” with 61 km² (24 sq mi); the west section, called “Untersee” with 63 km² (24 sq mi); and the northwest section, the “Zeller See” and “Gnadensee”.
The regulated Rhine flows into the lake in the southeast, through the “Obersee”, the city of Konstanz and the “Untersee”, and flows out near Stein am Rhein.
Lake Constance provides fresh water to many cities in south Germany.
The culminating point of the lake’s drainage basin is the Tödi at 3,614 metres above sea level.
Lake Constance was formed by the Rhine Glacier during the ice age and is a zungenbecken lake.
The Rhine, the Bregenzer Ache, and the Dornbirner Ache carry sediments from the Alps to the lake, thus gradually decreasing the depth and coastline extension of the lake in the southeast.

Lake Zug

Lake Zug – since 2013
(German: Zugersee) is a lake in Central Switzerland, situated between Lake Lucerne and Lake Zurich.

Lake Zurich

Lake Zurich – since 1999
(Swiss German/Alemannic: Zürisee; German: Zürichsee) is a lake in Switzerland, extending southeast of the city of Zürich.
Depending on the context, Lake Zürich or Zürichsee can be used to describe the lake as a whole, or just that part of the lake downstream of the Seedamm at Rapperswil, whilst the part upstream of Rapperswil may be called the Obersee or Upper Lake.

Mallorca — Valencia

Mediteranien Sea – America’s Cup 2007
The 2007 America’s Cup was the thirty-second challenge for the America’s Cup and was won by Alinghi in the 7th race.
The Cup is the most famous and most prestigious regatta and Match Race in the sport of sailing.
As per the Deed of Gift of the America’s Cup the yacht club that holds the Cup is the one that chooses the location for the next challenge to take place.
Alinghi, the syndicate representing the Société Nautique de Genève, the winners of the thirty-first edition, are based in Switzerland which is a landlocked country, so Alinghi put the hosting rights out to a competitive bid process.
On November 27, 2003 it was announced that the venue would be Valencia, Spain. A new building, Veles e Vents designed by David Chipperfield, was built in the harbour of Valencia to house the central base for all the America’s Cup teams.
By winning the 32nd America’s Cup, Alinghi changed what seemed to have become a tradition: that the winner of race three goes on to win the match.
Emirates Team New Zealand, despite winning the third heat, was not able to capture the Cup.
The score of the 32nd America’s Cup has also differentiated the match from previous editions.
The past three America’s Cups – 1995, 2000 and 2003 – were all sweeps, with the victorious boat taking all races.
Eleven challengers from nine countries submitted formal entries prior to the closing deadline of April 29, 2005.

VC Tornado Adliswil (1995-2000)
Geschichte:
